BROCKVILLE, ON - The second annual Global Warranty DIRTcar Northeast Fall Nationals kick off on Friday night at Brockville Ontario Speedway. The three day weekend of racing features all four of DIRTcar's touring series in action at the Beast of the East.
Things kick off on Friday night with a full fender double bill, a 40 lap Street Stock race and the final event in the 2010 Pro Stock Super DIRT Series, a 50 lap affair. Louie Jackson of Hogansburg NY sits atop the leader board as the series heads for Brockville, but his lead has been shrinking after a late surge from perennial contender Joey Ladouceur. The second generation driver from Eastern Ontario is just 23 points back with Cornwall's Corey Wheeler flying under the radar just 25 off the pace.
There isn't likely to be any real advantage for any of the Pro Stock title chasers as none of the cars have been on the fast Brockville clay oval since last October. Pro Stocks and Street Stocks hit the track for hot laps on Friday night at 6:20 followed by Pro Stock time trials. Qualifying heats get the green flag at 7 pm. One night admission for the Friday show is $15 and includes intermission hot laps for the Modifieds. Fans can save with a three day pass that includes all weekend racing activities for just $65.
