POINT PELEE KARTING AMPS UP FOR SECOND ANNUAL ULTIMATE KARTING CHAMPIONSHIP

Leamington, ON – The Point Pelee Karting Club is proud to announce that they will host their second annual PPKC Ultimate Karting Championship at their home track in Leamington, Ontario. Considered the sun capital of Canada, Leamington is the perfect location to host the event so late in the year with great weather expected. The official date for this year’s event is Saturday October 16.

Karters will once again ‘battle for the belt’ with winning teams taking not only the title of UKC Champion, but also win a very unique Championship Belt. With five classes on the schedule, the day will be full of action. Races will range from 30 minutes to 2 hours and 15 minutes and include mandatory pit stops. This year’s race will once again feature mid-race track changes.

The uniqueness of the UKC makes it a must attend for any drivers final race of the Canadian karting season. Registration for the event is only $90.00/team.

“PPKC is really looking forward to hoisting the second edition of this unique race format. With limited engines rules, open tires, multiple track layouts and length of race, a victory really comes down to strategy,” explains Jason Papp of PPKC. “Last year we had great reviews from participants and their planning for the second edition began immediately, as racers experienced what it takes to become a UKC Champ. We expect more participation this year and some interesting/unique approaches on speed vs. reliability, as that is the key formula to claiming the title.”

Registration for the event will run all day, with classes closing ten minutes before their scheduled race and trophies to be presented following each race. Below is the race day schedule.

Feather Weight (Cadet & Novice)
