TONIGHT: 'Red Mist Stuff' Will Be Shown As Part Of Mobil 1 Presents The Grand Prix Of Mosport Race Week Activities
Mosport International Raceway and Mini Grid have partnered to take you back to one of the golden eras of sports car racing, with a movie night featuring the racing documentary 'Red Mist Stuff', TONIGHT (Wednesday, August 25) at the Regent Theatre in Toronto.
'Red Mist Stuff' features two classic Mosport endurance races, the 1981 Molson 1000 and the 1983 Labatt GT. The broadcast coverage includes in-car sequences commonplace now in motorsports coverage, but in the early ‘80’s considered leading edge technology.
Special guests that have been confirmed for the night include Canadian Motorsports Hall of Fame drivers Bill Adam (the co-winner in ’83), Ludwig Heimrath Sr. (raced in both events) and Eppie Weitzes (co-runner-up in ’81), along with race commentator Paul Chater (’81) and the documentary’s producer and director, Lawrence Partington.
The special event will take place at the Regent Theatre at 551 Mt. Pleasant Road in Toronto, ON. The doors will open at 6:30 pm and the film will begin at 7:00 pm.
Advance tickets are just $10 with ($15 at the door) and seating is limited. Tickets can be purchased through Mini Grid by calling 416-488-7663 or stopping by the store at 608 Mt. Pleasant Rd.
Mini Grid (www.minigrid.com) is owned by Scott Maxwell, one of Canada’s premier sports car racers. The store and on-line business specializes in quality models, books, slot cars and DVD's for the automotive, motorsport and motorbike enthusiast.
